In the near 5-10 years, Azerbaijan is planning to enter the list of top 50 countries by GDP volume.

Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov stated it at “Azerbaijan 2013-2018.Towards New Goals” conference, Trend reports.  

“If in 2003 Azerbaijan came the 108th in terms of GDP production and the 154th in terms of GDP per capita, then in 2012 it came to be the 69th and 78th, respectively”, the Minister said.

According to him, over the past 10 years Azerbaijan’s, GDP has increased 3.4-fold, and GDP per capita-3-fold.
