The bank was established as a closed joint stock company under the name Midland Armenia Bank J.S.C. in 1996 and was renamed HSBC Bank Armenia cjsc in 1999.License N67 of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.The bank's purpose is to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.The bank is the member of SWIFT and Bankmail payment systems.The bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC.The bank has 6 offices in Yerevan and serves around 30,000 customers through three Global Businesses: Wealth and Personal Banking, Wholesale Banking and Markets and Securities Services.As of December 31, 2021 bank had 318 employees.
