Revolut announced that it has submitted its application to become a registered bank in New Zealand.

“Receiving a banking licence will result in Revolut becoming the first global digital bank in market, enabling it to continue delivering innovative and essential financial services that meet the needs of Kiwis who have long been underserved by traditional banking players”, the company said.

Since launching in New Zealand in 2023, Revolut has also delivered 18 innovative products and features, including spending limit notifications, split bills alongside transaction accounts and competitive FX rates.
