Yerevan/Mediamax/. French “Egis Bceom International” Company will render consultation services for realization of “North-South” road corridor investment program. Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Armenia that the French Company was chosen as a result of an international tender. Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan stated at the session of the consultation body under the Ministry that on September 18, another tender was announced for construction works on 11.7km road section of Yerevan-Ashtarak highway. According to Program Director Felix Pirumyan, while choosing the construction company, they will take into account a number of important conditions, in particular, the requirement of Asian Development Bank on the fact that the winner of the tender should have successful participation at least in three programs over the past 6 years at the sum of USD 20mln, and the average annual turnover of the company should make at least USD 20mln. Felix Pirumyan stressed that 5.6km of 11.7km Yerevan-Ashtarak road is planned to be covered by concrete, and the remaining part – by asphalt.
