Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan doesn’t think Armenia will pay USD 189 for gas again.The Minister said this answering to the journalists’ questions whether it is possible for Armenia not to sign a new contract with Russia and pay USD 189 for 1000 cubic meters of gas.Levon Yolyan stated that he sees no obstacle for signing a contract for USD 165 tariff.“The negotiations are conducted in an optimal atmosphere, the case will be made public after having the complete picture”, he said.It should be mentioned that the Russian side lowered the USD 189 tariff to USD 165 for Armenia in 2015.Recently, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made changes in intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Armenia, by which USD 165 preferential tariff period was extended until the end of 2016 first trimester for Armenia.
