Armenia has improved its positions on World Bank’s annual “Doing Business” ranking by four points and comes in the 45th place among 189 countries.Among former Soviet states, Georgia tops the ranking (5th place), Mediamax reports. It is then followed by Estonia (17th place), Latvia (23rd place), Lithuania (24th place), Armenia (45th place), Belarus (57th place), Russia (62nd place), Moldova (63rd place), Kazakhstan (77th place), Azerbaijan (80th place), Ukraine (96th place), Kyrgyzstan (102nd place) and Tajikistan (166th place). Armenia ranks the 4th in “Starting a Business” on the Doing Business 2015 ranking. Armenia has advanced by 32 points on “Paying Taxes” ranking and comes in the 41st place instead of the previous 73rd. Armenia has also improved its positions by 14 points in “Trading across Borders” and ranks the 110th.At the same time, some deterioration has been recorded in “Getting Credit” index – Armenia has dropped from the 30th place and ranks the 36th.
