Yerevan, June 22. /Mediamax/. Russia’s mobile operator MTS has passed the first round of the tender announced by the Greek OTE Corporation for selling 90% share of the Armenian telecommunications company ArmenTel.

MTS spokesman Kiril Alyavdin said this in the interview with Mediamax today, noting that MTS has been included into the short-list of candidates for buying ArmenTel. At the same time, Kiril Alyavdin said, “we have not yet submitted the final bid.”

Interviewed by Mediamax, Vympelcom spokeswoman Yulia Ostroukhova abstained from speaking about whether Russian Beeline mobile operator has been included into the short-list or not, noting that “the information is confidential.”
