Yerevan /Mediamax/.  Head of EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea denied the information according to which the EU is going to revise new Generalized System of Preferences (GSP+) applied in commercial relations with Armenia.

"I heard the information in the media, and you correctly named them rumors", the Ambassador told Mediamax's correspondent.

Traian Hristea recalled that Armenia just became a beneficiary of GSP+ system and all the beneficiaries of the system participate themselves in different economic integration schemes.

"The option to integrate in one scheme has nothing to do with the whole philosophy of GSP+", said the Ambassador.

Mediamax recalls that from January 1, Armenia was involved in the new phase of GSP+. The system allows more than 6 thousand goods of Armenian production to export to the EU with privileged - zeroized or discounted- customs duties. As of now, the EU entitled only 10 countries including Armenia and Georgia to use the regime.
