Armenia ranks the first in the CIS by its unemployment rate. “Global Unemployment Trends 2014” report released by the UN International Labor Organization reads this.According to the report, the unemployment rate in Armenia made up 18.64% in 2013, while it made up 17.3% in 2012.“In general, unemployment levels are significantly higher in the Central and South- Eastern Europe subregion than in the CIS subregion, where only Armenia is recording high unemployment rates”, the report reads.The report shows that Georgia (14.32%), Uzbekistan (10.76%), Tajikistan (10.76%), Turkmenistan (10.69%) and Kyrgyzstan yield to Armenia by their unemployment rate.According to the report, Azerbaijan has an unemployment rate of 5.54%.
