Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan visited the institutions in Jermuk where Geoteam Company implements reconstruction works within its corporate social responsibility program today.

The company particularly overhauls the buildings of Jermuk kindergarten and school of arts which were in poor conditions before.

Geoteam representatives informed the Vice Prime Minister that the works will be over in mid November and they will providing necessary conditions for over 60 kindergarten children and 140 pupils of the school. The two programs overall cost AMD100mln and AMD26mln more was transferred to the Foundation for Social-Economic Development of Jermuk. Geoteam built the outdoor sports complex of Jermuk high school as well.

The company’s representatives also presented information on various programs for improvement of infrastructures in Gndevaz, Saravan and Gorayk communities, development of the communities, educational and healthcare projects. In particular, a cooperative of dried fruit production is scheduled to be launched in Gndevaz. A program for new technologies employment in agriculture is being implemented in Gorayk. The company annually invests around USD350 thousand in Jermuk and three mentioned rural communities.

Armen Gevorgyan stressed the importance of the major companies’ implementation of programs for supporting adjacent communities pointing out the significance of the social responsibility component in them. According to him, integrity and target use of public, private and community funds will allow contributing to the communities’ development.
