Yerevan /Mediamax/. To implement various projects within 4 years, Switzerland will allocate over USD30mln to Armenia. Regional Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation Rudolph Schoch stated this in Yerevan today presenting the strategy of the agency for 2013-2016. According to him, Azerbaijan will be allocated the same amount as Armenia, and Georgia will be granted USD34mln.“Under the new strategy, Switzerland actually doubles the budget of assistance for the region”, said Rudolph Schoch.Switzerland’s funding for coming 4 years will be meant for three fields. The first is economic development and employment which will be provided the most funds. Market development and professional training will be paid special attention to.The second field is management and public services and the main funds will be allocated to the local self-government bodies. The third sphere is defense and security and conflict settlement.“Through the assistance, mediation and political dialogue, Switzerland strives to contribute to establishing peace and confidence building in the region”, said Rudolph Schoch.
