As of the data of the sociological survey conducted by the Armenian Marketing Association, the most well-known banks of Armenia are VTB Bank (Armenia) - 38%, ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK - 36% and Ardshininvestbank - 34%.

In reply to the question "What banks currently operating in Armenia do you know", respondents also noted HSBC Bank Armenia (30%), Araratbank (29%), Unibank (28%), Inecobank (25%) and Armeconombank (24%).

The respondents turned out to mention Mellat Bank, Armswissbank and BTA Bank least of all.

While mentioning the banks, the respondents first noted ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK (14%), VTB Bank (11%), Ardshininvestbank (9%) and HSBC Bank Armenia (9%).

72% of the respondents using banking services think that the banking system of Armenia is developed and 74% of the surveyed have trust in it.

Banking services consumers think that the biggest drawback of the banking system is the high lending rate (20%). The respondents also mentioned the following as shortcomings: low servicing level (12%), queues (8%), red tape (3%), high service prices (2%), difficulties while forming loans (2%) etc.

The data were provided as of results of the sixth survey of the Armenian Marketing Association's monitoring program which was conducted through a phone survey. 800 people took part in the survey.

The program allows learning ratings of the banks, attitude to the banking system and assessing banking services. Banks.am will provide other details of the survey within coming days.
