Carrefour Group is going to enter the Armenian market within 12 months, the reply received by Mediamax from the press service of Carrefour Group to the request to comment on the information according to which Carrefour refused to operate in Armenia reads this.

“In line with its strategy of developing the Carrefour brand, the Majid Al Futtaim group continues to analyze the Armenian market and aims to open its first store in the next 12 months”, Mediamax was informed in the press service of Carrefour Group.

Majid Al Futtaim group develops Carrefour brand in the Middle East countries.

Recently, there were publications in the Armenian media according to which Carrefour refused to operate in Armenia due to unequal competition conditions with the Armenian chains.

Meanwhile, banners on earliest opening of Carrefour store are still hanging in Dalma Garden Mall Yerevan store.
