Yerevan/Mediamax/. During the XVI International Professional Wine and Bevereage Contest, 10-year ArArAt "Akhtamar" brandy of the Yerevan Brandy Factory was awarded a gold medal and 20-year old ArArAt "Nairi" brandy won Grand Prix of the contest being awarded a gold medal.

Abpve 117 samples of beverages from 20 producing countries including Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Russia, U.S.. Ukraine, France and Chili took part in the contest held under the patronage of International Organization of Vine and Wine.

"Nairi" brandy (20-year old) has been produced by the Yerevan Brandy Factory from 1967. "Nairi" won 31 gold and 1 silver medals.

"Akhtamar" brandy (10-year old) has been produced by the Yerevan Brand Factory from 1967. It won 8 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals.

This year, Yerevan Brandy Factory presented limited issue of the new sample of "Akhtamar" brandy within "Collection of Arts of ArArAt" initiative and produced as a result of the cooperation with modern Armenian-Canadian artist Garen Bedrosian.
