Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated today that “business should be consistently separated from the state system and power”.

The President stated this at the session of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia today.

“The state should keep learning how to respect and guarantee interests of the citizens and entrepreneurs instead. The state and entrepreneur should become reliable partners”, said the President.

Serzh Sargsyan said that “from the viewpoint of economic stability, we should be moving forward ensuring not only stability of the inflation level and financial system but also reducing the level of state budget/GDP correlation year by year”.

“Favorable entrepreneur environment is needed to boost a business. We will ensure it. We have already launched the process aimed at sharp growth of our indices within the international index of the countries with free entrepreneur environment. In fact, Armenia was the only country in the world to have registered progress by the index of freedoms in all the areas last year. I expect new and more tangible achievements in this respect and the government is quite aware of it”, said the Armenian President.
