Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian banks’ credit portfolio made AMD1trillion 109 bln 433mln (about USD3bln) at the end of the second quarter of 2011. It increased by 9.24% or by AMD 93 bln 889mln as compared to the first quarter. As of late June, the volume of credits issued by the banks in foreign currency made AMD 634 bln 122mln (10, 3 % growth in the quarter), in national currency - AMD 432 bln 431 bln (9%growth in the quarter), Mediamax reports quoting Armenian National Statistical Service.As of late June, the volume of overdue credits in Armenian banking system made AMD 4bln 542mln increasing by AMD 293mln or by 6.9% as compared to March. At that, the sum of extended credits reduced by AMD 1, 5 bln (3, 8 %) making AMD 38bln 491mln as of the second quarter.As of late June 2011, the volume of credits issued by credit organizations of Armenia made AMD 66 bln 927mln increasing by AMD 3,32 bln as of the second quarter.The volume of deposits attracted by Armenian commercial banks made AMD 785bln 704mln as of late June 2011, increasing by AMD 30 bln 839mln (4%) as of the second quarter.The volume of resident deposits made AMD 652bln 240mln, non-resident deposits – AMD 133 464mln as of late June.The volume of deposits in foreign currency made AMD 548bln 462mln (69.8% out of the total sum of deposits), and in national currency – AMD 237 bln 242mln as of late June. As compared to the first quarter, the deposits share in foreign currency reduced by 0.4 percent points.As of June 2011, the deposit balance in the banks made AMD 406 372mln increasing by 35,3% against the same period of 2010.
