Yerevan/Mediamax/. As of June 2011, the economic activity index in Armenia increased by 2.3% as compared to June 2010.

Since the beginning of 2011, National Statistical Service of Armenia has been publishing economic activity index instead of GDP increase/decrease index, Mediamax notes.

Industrial production volume made AMD 87 bln 199mln as of June 2011, increasing by 24.7% as compared to June 2010. As of June, the trade circulation increased by 6%, the volume of services – by 4.1%.

Increase by 10/1% against the same period of 2010 is recorded in the agriculture, decrease by 31.3% - in the construction sphere.

As of June 2011, the average monthly salary in Armenia increased by 4.9% against the same period of 2010 and made AMD114 138 (USD311).
