Yerevan/Mediamax/. 5 years have passed since the launch of the first Armenian financial-baking portal Banks.am (Financial Armenia) - one of the projects of Mediamax Internet-Holding.

During these 5 years, Banks.am not only proved that it is in big demand but also became an independent brand.

Banks.am became the first portal in Armenia to accumulate full information about the whole range of banking services offered in the country. Banks.am became a convenient tool not only for specialists working in the banking sphere but also for people interested in the developments on the financial market. The portal offers the latest news about the banking and finance in Armenia.

In September 2006, only 3 months after its launch, Banks.am received the First Prize of the Second Pan-Armenian E-content -2006 contest.

In 2007, the portal began to transform into a full financial portal, launching new divisions: “Insurance”, “Audit and consulting”, “Training”, “IT-companies,” “Payment systems”, etc.

In December 2008, Job.Banks.am web site was launched - an employment platform for senior and top managers.

In February 2009, Capitalmarket.Banks.am portal was presented. Immediately after the launch, Capitalmarket.am became the partner of the international “Capital markets in Armenia” conference organized by Grand Thornton Amyot.

In April 2009, with the support of the government and the Central Bank of Armenia, Mediamax and Banks.am organized a contest of student’s essays on “I overcome the crisis” which was continued in 2010.

“We are happy with the results Banks.am has achieved during 5 years. We were and are the absolute leaders among business portals. We have many new ideas for the development of Banks.am which we are going to present in the months to come,” said Mediamax Director Ara Tadevosyan.
