Yerevan, June 22. /Mediamax/. The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) gets ready to pass to a new pension system.

As it was stated at the session of the NKR government, the new multistage system will involve state provision of pensions as well as compulsory accumulative and voluntary accumulative pension elements.

Prime Minister Ara Harutyunian noted that NKR is applying the international experience of accumulation and payment of pensions and they have to “scrupulously prepare.”

He ordered the Ministry of Social Welfare to explain basic provisions of the new pension system and its advantages to the population.

The package of necessary draft laws is already prepared and after the approval of the government it will be submitted to the NKR National Assembly.
