Director General of NASDAQ OMX Armenia Stock Exchange Armen Melikian leaves his post on June 1, 2011.Armen Melikian said this in a letter sent to media outlets, Mediamax reports.“Summing up the results of over 10 years of activity and cooperation with you, I see how much has been done for the establishment and development of the Armenian capital market not only by the Stock Exchange but also by all market participants. There are many challenges and still much needs to be done, of course. But I believe that the experience gained by market participants during these years as well as the assistance of NASDAQ OMX will help Armenia become the leading capital market in the region,” Armen Melikian wrote.Armen Melikian has worked at Yerevan Stock Exchange since 1994 as a broker. In 1996 he was the Director of Armenbrok brokerage company. In 2000 he was elected Chairman of the “Union of Equity Market Participants Armenia” and in 2011 was appointed Executive Director of Armenian Stock Exchange.
