Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenia’s economic activity index in April 2011 has increased by 7.7%, as compared to April, 2010. Mediamax reports that since early 2011, instead of publishing the GDP growth and decrease index, the National Statistical Service of Armenia publishes the economic activity index.According to the latest report, the adjusted index of economic activity growth in March made 0.3% (the non –adjusted index made 0%). The volume of industrial production in April made AMD 75bln 019.4mln, having increased by 11% as compared to April 2010.0.6% increase, as compared to April 2010, was marked in the agricultural sector (AMD 35bln 466.1mln), 16.9% was registered in the construction sphere (AMD 23bln 323mln).The average monthly salary in Armenia in April 2011 has grown by 5.2%, as compared to 2010, thus making AMD 110 593.In April 2011 Armenian export grew by 21%Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in April 2011 made $449.4mln or AMD 167.9bln, having increased by 19.1% as compared to the same period of 2010.As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service of Armenia today, the export volume grew by 21%, making AMD 41.4bln or $110.9mln during the accounting period. The import volume in April 2011 grew by 16.6% as compared to same period of last year, making AMD 126.5bln or $338.5mln.The deficit of foreign trade balance in April 2011 made AMD 85.1bln (decrease, as compared to March, made AMD 5.4bln) or $227.6mln (decrease by USD 18.3mln).
