Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian government approved today amendments to a number of laws to make credits more affordable for the population. Mediamax reports that Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Nerses Yeritsyan stated that due to amendments they plan to eliminate the existing limitations, which do not allow telecommunication companies providing the Credit Bureau with information on the debts of their customers. Amendments do not oblige the companies to provide the corresponding information; however they will allow companies and the Bureau cooperating on contractual basis. “Public Services Regulatory Committee expressed concern in connection with these changes, noting that they contradict the Constitution and violate the rights of citizens for privacy of personal information and conversations. However the emphasis here is put on fulfillment of contract commitments by the citizens, and not the information about their conversations”, Nerses Yeritsyan said. Tweet Views 5856
