Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Areximbank – Gazprombank Group” intends to pay more attention to crediting small and medium enterprise this year. Deputy General Director of “Areximbank – Gazprombank Group” CJSC Vigen Barseghyan stated that “in the first quarter of 2011, already USD 2mln has been directed at crediting SME, and by the end of the year USD 10mln more are planned to be directed”. “This is natural: the crisis is yielding, the economy stirs up. Basing on this, we consider development of small and medium enterprise a promising direction for us. In 2010, the bank already entered the list of top three leaders of SME crediting on Armenian CB’s refinancing program. Increase in the volumes of SME crediting is included in the program of the bank’s strategic development till 2013, according to which up to USD 30mln is planned to be directed at SME crediting”, Vigen Barseghyan stated. He noted that SME crediting will be realized both at the expense of own resources, and at the expense of means, attracted from international financial organizations. An agreement has already been reached with the World Bank on launching the procedure of involving “Areximbank – Gazprombank Group” in WB’s program on financing SME at preferential conditions.
