The volume of foreign investments in Armenia’s economy in 2010 reduced by 41% against last year, making $1bln and 505.7mln.As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the inflow of direct foreign investments last year reduced by 23.5%, making$693.4mln. The volume of other investments into Armenian economy reduced almost twice in 2010, thus making $811.9mln; decline in the volume of portfolio investments into Armenian economy last year made 96.4% ($0.4mln).The biggest foreign investor into Armenia’s economy in 2010 was still Russia ($270.3mln, $194.5mln of which were direct investments); France is the second ($146.7mln of direct investments); Netherland comes the third ($64.3mln, $3.5 of which in direct investments).The biggest volume of direct foreign investments in Armenia last year was directed to the telecommunications sector ($190.6mln, specific weight- 39.7%); the energy sector comes next (21.07%, $101.7mln), the third is the landline and pipeline transportation (with specific weight of 7.84%, $37.8mln). In 2010, the volume of investments of Armenian residents (legal entities) abroad reduced twice as compared to 2009, making $94.4mln. At the same time, the volume of direct investments of Armenian companies abroad in 2010 made $8.3mln, having reduced by 84.4% as compared to previous year. Tweet Views 7185
