Yerevan/Mediamax/. Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) transferred to Armenian “Eco-Pur” LLC the first tranche within the framework of the open credit line at the sym of up to USD 30mln for import of 25 thousand tons of wheat to Armenia.

The agreement on providing credit resources for financing the purchase and transportation of the wheat grains to Armenia was signed in December 2010 in Moscow.

At that time, “Eco-Pur” LLC signed an agreement on organizing wheat grains supplies with Russian state company “United Grain Company” OJSC, the financing of which will be realized due to the credit resources of EDB.

“This year, a complex situation is observed in the markets of CIS countries concerning provision of wheat grains, and realization of this project will allow maintaining the prices for bread and flour in the Republic of Armenia at an acceptable level”, Mediamax was informed in EDB today.
