Yerevan/Mediamax/. Unemployment, bad social conditions and housing issues are the primary problems of the Armenian population. Mediamax reports that the results of the survey, held upon the order of the Armenian government by the Institute of Political and Social Consultations “IPSC” in September, 2010, among 1619 respondents (571 in Yerevan and 1048 in the regions of the republic) evidence this. 45% of respondents named unemployment as the primary problem of their family, 23.7% - poverty and unsatisfactory social conditions, and 13.1% - housing issue (purchase or repair of dwelling). Among other primary problems, they have noted low level of payment for labor (7.3%), health problems (6.8%), small pension benefit (5.6%), low level and high prices for education (3%), inflation and taxes (2%). 41.7% of the polled consider unemployment also the most important challenge Armenia faces today. Next primary problems for Armenia, according to the research, are the low life standard (16.5%), inflation and taxes (13.2%) and settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict (8.6%). Among other primary problems for Armenia, they have noted emigration (5.5%), human rights violation (4.7%), bad state in agriculture (4.1%), corruption (2.2%), oligarchs and monopolies (2.2%).
