Yerevan/Mediamax/. Today, Armenian government approved the suggestion of the Ministry of Finance on facilitating terms for servicing the loan, provided by International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan stated at the session that the total volume of the loan makes 202.4mln SDR, of 127.6mln of which Armenia received in 2009.

Armenia received the first tranche on Standby terms. Tigran Davtyan noted that at present there is an agreement reached with IMF on changing terms of servicing the second tranche at the volume of 74.8mln.

In particular, it is suggested to prolong the term of loan repayment from current 5 to 10 years with the period of grace making 5 years with zero interest rate. Minister of Finance stated that real saving from facilitating terms of loan service will make USD 10-15mln.
