Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian government presented state loan guarantees to the government of Belgium, aiming at purchasing a cyclotron (cyclic accelerator).

Mediamax reports that the interest-free loan at the volume of EUR 5mln will be provided to the Armenian government by Belgian KBCNV Bank.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Mushegh Tumasyan stated that the loan is provided on the basis of a loan agreement, signed between the government of Armenia and KBCNV bank.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stressed that the program provides for purchase of the cyclotron, its placement in Yerevan Institute of Physics, organization of a medical center on the basis of that institute, where they will treat oncological illnesses with the use of isotopes, received with the help of the cyclotron.
