Yerevan/Mediamax/. Vahan Stepanyan, CEO of the Central Depository of Armenia, was elected Chairman of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories.
Mediamax was informed in the press service of NASDAQ OMX Armenia that the decision on appointing Vahan Stepanyan was made during the annual meeting of the Association in Minsk.

AECSD was established at the end of 2004 by central securities depositories of the CIS countries, and its mission is to develop and enhance depository operations, create a common depository environment, and integrate central securities depositories of the CIS countries into the global securities settlement system.

The next annual general meeting of AECSD is planned to be held in Yerevan in September 2011.
