Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian government made a decision today on construction of Meghri HPP. Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia Armen Movsisyan informed today that the cost of the project will make USD 323mln. According to him, construction of Meghri HPP will be fully realized by the Iranian side, and further on the sides will carry out mutual settlement of accounts due to export of the produced electric power from Armenia to Iran. The planned capacity of the plant will make about 130 megawatt and it will allow producing up to 800mln kilowatt/hour electric power a year. Construction works are planned to be completed within 5 years. Construction of Meghri HPP will be realized by Iranian Farab-Sebasat Company. The agreement on construction will be signed during the visit of Iranian Minister of Energy to Armenia. Tweet Views 10781
