Yerevan/Mediamax/. Today, Armenian MPs discussed the amendments to the law on “State Benefits”, suggested by the government. Mediamax reports that Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artyom Asatryan noted that they suggest making fundamental changes to the order of paying benefits to temporary unemployed people. During the discussions, member of “Dashnaktsutiun” faction Artsvik Minasyan expressed discontent with the social policy of the Armenian government. According to him, there is no clear-cut social strategy in the country. Artsvik Minasyan reminded that Serzh Sargsian’s pre-election program contained a promise on consistent salary increase, “however the promises died on the vine”. “Such behavior from the part of authorities causes disappointment and distrust among the population for reforms in process, including the pension ones”, “Dashnaktsutiun” representative stated.
