Yerevan/Mediamax/. Within the framework of the new borrowing strategy, VTB Bank (Armenia) does not plan to independently enter external markets.

Mediamax reports that Director of the Financial Department of VTB Bank (Armenia) Yuri Gusev said this, commenting on the response on the bank’s ratings by Fitch Ratings.

“At present, within the framework of VTB Group, there is work in process on centralizing the program of borrowing of all participants of the banking system. Within the framework of the new borrowing strategy, VTB bank (Armenia) does not plan to independently enter external markets. Taking into account this factor, as well as the work the bank carries out on optimizing the expenditure structure, we made a decision to temporarily cease cooperation with “Fitch” Rating Agency”, Yuri Gusev stated.
