Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia and Russia will sign an agreement on new nuclear power units’ construction on the territory of Armenia.

Mediamax reports, today the government of Armenia approved the proposal on signing the agreement today. 

Earlier, the government of Armenia has approved the project to establish joint Armenian Russian “Metsamorenergatom” OJSC, open for other investors. 

Today, the government of Armenia also approved the proposal on signing an agreement with European Commission (EC) as well, in accordance with which EC will finance the second part of nuclear safety action plan for 2009, the total cost for which makes 11mln euro.
