Yerevan /Mediamax/. Credit portfolio of Armenian banks increased for 10bln 473mln AMD in May, 2010, as compared to April, making 789bln 812mln AMD.

As Mediamax was informed in National Statistical Service of Armenia, the share of AMD credits in the composition of the Armenian banks’ portfolio made 44.84% at the end of May (354bln 181mln), having reduced by 0.43 percentage points, as compared to April.

As compared to April, AMD credit portfolio of Armenian banks increased for 1bln 30mln AMD in May, and crediting in foreign currency increased for 8bln 412mln AMD, making 398bln 555mln AMD.

The volume of overdue credits in the banking system of Armenia as of the end of May made 4bln 371mln AMD, having increased for 229mln AMD, as compared to April. The volume of prolonged credits increased also for 4mln, making 32bln 346mln AMD as of the end of May.

Share of overdue and prolonged credits in credit portfolio of Armenian banks as of the end of May made 0.6% and 4.10% respectively. 

Portfolio of credit organizations of Armenia made 54bln 581mln AMD as of the end of May, having increased for 825mln AMD, as compared to April.

The volume of deposits in the banking system of Armenia as of the end of May, 2010, made 639bln 786mln AMD, having reduced for 22bln 035mln AMD, as compared to April. Deposits in foreign currency made 474bln 839mln AMD (74.2%) as of the end of May, and in national currency – 164bln 947mln AMD (25.8%).
