Yerevan/Mediamax/. Accumulative pension system in Armenian should be implemented exclusively on voluntary basis. Mediamax reports that such an opinion was voiced today by former Prime Minister of Armenia, member of oppositional Armenian National Congress (Hrant Bagratyan) Hrant Bagratyan. According to him, the main part of the means of private pension funds should be directed at development of infrastructure inside the country under state guarantees, and not at purchasing foreign bonds, as it is noted in the current law. Hrant Bagratyan also considers it necessary to fix the basic part of the pension at the volume of average salary in the country. Former Prime Minister stressed that in case of successful realization of the law in its current form, means at the volume of $800mln will be taken out of the country, and this is a threat for Armenia’s economy. Hrant Bagratyan noted that he will publish his version of the pension reform soon. Tweet Views 15918
