Yerevan/Mediamax/. Assets of “Ameriabank” following the results of the I quarter made 110bln 505.6mln AMD, having increased for 7bln 267.5mln AMD or by 7.03%, as compared to the same period of 2009. As the bank’s Development Director Tigran Jrbashyan informed at a news conference today, “Ameriabank” credit portfolio following the results of the I quarter exceeded 60bln AMD, having increased for 7.092bln in a year. “At that, 80% of growth in the credit portfolio in the first three months of 2010 was secured due to attracting new customers”, Tigran Jrbashyan stated, noting that the share of idle credits in “Ameriabank” credit portfolio makes 0.26%. Consolidated credit portfolio of “Ameriabank” and “Cascade Bank” (the agreement on the banks’ merger was signed on March 31) made 71.9bln AMD following the results of the first quarter. The bank’s liabilities in the first quarter reached 88.2bln AMD (increase – 8.25%), the aggregate liabilities of “Ameriabank” and “Cascade Bank” reach 99bln AMD, and this makes about 8% of the total liabilities of the Armenian banking system. “Ameriabank” capital made 22.289bln AMD following the results of the I quarter, having increased by 2.5% in a year. “Consolidated capital of the two banks makes about 29.98bln AMD and “Ameriabank” occupies the second place in the banking system as to this index”, Tigran Jrbashyan stated. Aggregate profit of the two banks made 654mln AMD in the first quarter, and “Ameriabank” profit in the accounting period made 533.7mln, having increased 4.7 times, as compared to the analogous period of 2009.
