President of “Troika Dialog” Group of Companies, Chairman of “Ameriabank” Board Ruben Vardanyan considers expectations that there will be many public companies in Armenia an “illusion”. “Armenia is a small country with small economy, which lacks companies with the turnover of tens of billions of dollars, consequently, it is an illusion to expect that there will be many public companies in Armenia”, Ruben Vardanyan stated. Mediamax reports that, speaking about prospects of the Armenian capital market and investment banking, Ruben Vardanyan expressed opinion that, nevertheless, a large number of Armenian companies will attract debt resources through issue of securities. “Of course, we will never have such professional investment banking as in America, but the countries of Eastern Europe and even a number of countries of Western Europe lack it as well”, Ruben Vardanyan stated.
