Yerevan/Mediamax/. In the nearest future “Ameriabank” will sign a loan agreement with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the sum of $10mln, aiming at funding major business. Mediamax reports that Director of “Ameriabank” Development Department Tigran Jrbashyan said this in Yerevan today. He also informed that within the framework of cooperation with EBRD, the bank intends to attract $10mln more this year for funding small and medium enterprise, as well as $5mln for each two directions of trade funding – direct crediting and provision of credit guarantees. Touching upon loan resources, attracted by “Ameriabank” earlier from international financial institutions, Tigran Jrbashyan informed on placement of the larger part of International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) loan in the amount of $15mln, received in December and meant for crediting renewable energy. “$10mln from 30mln loan from Dutch FMO and German DEG to “Ameriabank” will be also directed to crediting of hydropower engineering”, Tigran Jrbashyan stated, noting that the remaining $20 of the loan means from these financial structures will be directed at funding medium business. Answering the question on the first results of “Ameriabank” large-scale campaign on crediting small and medium enterprise, the Director of the bank’s Development Department informed that the campaign was successful, and due to it, the SME portfolio of the bank increased by 30% since the beginning of the year. “At present, the credit portfolio of the bank makes about 55bln AMD, while in early February this index made 51.6bln AMD”, Jrbashyan noted.
