Yerevan /Mediamax/. Credit portfolio of Armenian banks made 712bln 790mln AMD at the end of October, 2009, having increased for 17bln 225mln AMD, as compared to September. Mediamax was informed in the National Statistical Service of Armenia that the volume of credits, provided by banks in foreign currency made, 358bln 834mln AMD, and in national currency – 325bln 539mln AMD as of the end of October. The volume of credits, issued by credit organizations in Armenia made 49bln 973mln AMD as of the end of October, 2009, having reduced for 619mln AMD, as compared to September. The volume of deposits, attracted by commercial banks of Armenia as of the end of October, 2009, made 631bln 701mln AMD, having reduced for 11bln 91mln AMD, as compared to September. At that, the volume of deposits in the banking system increased for 78bln 739mln AMD by the end of October, as compared to June, 2009. The volume of residents’ deposits made 503bln 175mln AMD at the end of October, having increased for 9bln 686mln AMD, as compared to September, while non-residents’ deposits reduced for 20bln 777mln AMD in the accounting period, making 128bln 526mln AMD. The volume of deposits in foreign currency made 453bln 975mln AMD at the end of October (71.8% from the total sum of deposits), and in national currency – 177bln 725mln AMD (28.2%). The remainder on deposits in banks made 275 498mln AMD as of the end of October, 2009, having increased by 0.05%, as compared to the previous month, and having increased by 33.3%, as compared to the same period of 2008.
