Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian government possesses sufficient financial resources to withstand possible challenges, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stated in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that, speaking in the parliament today, the Prime Minister stated that there are agreements reached on attracting 24bln AMD from the U.S. “Millennium Challenge” Program and 100mln EUR from the European Union. These means will allow making the state budget of 2010 more comparable to the state budget 2009, Prime Minister stated.

Tigran Sargsian admitted that the crisis revealed vulnerable spots in the Armenian economy. In particular, he singled out the low level of economy diversification. The Prime Minister spoke for speeding up economic reforms, admitting that they have slowed down recently.--0--
