Yerevan /Mediamax/. The level of idle loans in Armenia will near 10% in 2010. Mediamax reports that the Head of International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) representative office in Armenia Ninke Omes made this forecast today. According to her, Armenia, as the majority of countries in the Caucasus and Central Asian regions, should keep up budget stimulation in 2010. Ninke Omes stated that IMF recommends the governments being vigilant and continuing economy stimulation, based on improving economy indices. According to Ninke Omes, despite the significant positive shifts in the global economy marked recently, nevertheless there remain risks, related to premature refusal of state support and loss of confidence for the tax-budgetary policy. Ninke Omes singled out IMF’s recommendation to preserve flexible currency orders in Armenia and in other countries of the region to support competitiveness, continue reforms on improving conditions for entrepreneurship activity, as well as carry out works on deepening regional cooperation and developing the financial sector.
