Yerevan /Mediamax/. Meeting of Commonwealth of Independent States Payments and Securities Settlement Initiative’s (CISPI) workgroup was launched in Yerevan today.

Mediamax informs, speaking at the opening of the ceremony, Vice-Chairman of Central Bank Vache Gabrielyan said that payment and settlement systems activity is important for the development of both banking and financial sectors and the entire economy in general.

Vache Gabrielyan stressed that the CIS countries have similar experience in this sphere and stressed the importance to provide for consumers` financial competence in this sphere and their protection.

The representatives of Central Banks of Ukraine, Russia, Kirgizia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and the World Bank will deliver reports at the session.
