Yerevan /Mediamax/. Budget deficit in Armenia’s GDP will make 7-7.5% in 2009.

Mediamax reports that Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Vardan Aramyan said this in Yerevan today, making a speech on “Crisis prevention measures of the Armenian government in global context”.

Vardan Aramyan stated that just as other countries, Armenia has attracted loan means to replenish the deficit of the state budget. According to him, in conditions of the global financial-economic crisis, in the view of increase of social problems among the population, social expenses increased as well. In this context, expenditure part of the budget will make 28% of the GDP this year, which is 10-12% more, as compared to 2008.

According to the Deputy Minister, it is expected that following the results of 2009, economic decline will make less than 18.5%, and inflation – 3-4%.
