The necessity to permit to issue debt instruments, expressed in foreign currency, is preserved in the Armenian capital market, specialists of “Armswissbank” and “Cascade Investments” Investment Company believe. As Investment Department Director of “Armswissbank” Karen Turyan informed Mediamax, the given necessity not only preserves, but also increases, “since potential investors both in Armenia and abroad have accumulated quite large volumes of currency, the yield from placing which is quite low and tents to zero in world markets”. “On the other hand, major Armenian companies needs funding since funding opportunities in AMD are limited”, Karen Turyan stated, adding that from this point of view, taking into account demand from the part of investors and businessmen, quite a capacious market opens up for debt instruments, expressed in foreign currency. Investment Manager of “Cascade Investments” Yeghishe Qerobyan informed Mediamax that the necessity to allow issue of debt instruments in foreign currency is preserved especially after AMD depreciation. “Armenian and foreign investors are more interested in dollar financial instruments: for sure, Armenian companies can cell bonds, nominated in USD, much easier, than ones in AMD”, Yeghishe Qerobyan stated.
