Yerevan /Mediamax/. In January-June, 2009, Armenian GDP cut down by 16.3%, as compared to the same period of last year. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, GDP volume in January-June made 1 trillion 119bln 369.6mln AMD. The volume of industrial output in the Republic in January-June, 2009, made 281bln 487.8mln AMD, having cut down by 11.5%, as compared to the analogous period of 2008. At that, the largest decline is registered in the sphere of construction (53.5%). Average monthly salary in Armenia in January-June, 2009, increased, as compared to the same period of 2008, by 12.7%, and made 98 138 AMD. At that, the salary in budget organizations increased by 17.4% and made 81 282 AMD in the accounting period, and in non-budget organizations – 122 579 AMD (growth 6.9%). Import in January-June, 2009, cut down, as compared to the analogous period of 2008, by 27.5%, making 479.9bln AMD, or $1378,6mln.
