Yerevan /Mediamax/. International Finance Corporation (IFC) provided trade financing guarantee at the volume of $5mln to “Ameriabank”. Mediamax reports that the corresponding agreement was signed by the chairman of “Ameriabank” Board of Directors Artak Anesyan and IFC regional Director for the Caucasus Thomas Lubeck in Yerevan today. Artak Anesyan informed that, receiving IFC guarantee, “Ameriabank” joints “Global Trade Financing Program”, within the framework of which IFC will provide the bank with guarantees (up to 100%) for funding import and export operations of “Ameriabank” customers, including small and medium enterprises. Artak Anesyan stressed that this is the first practice of “Ameriabank” cooperating with the given financial structure, adding that now the bank is in process of talks with two more international financial organizations on calling funds at the volume of about $30mln for small en medium entrepreneurship funding in Armenia. IFC Regional Director for the Caucasus Thomas Lubeck informed that, participating in “Global Trade Financing Program”, “Ameriabank” is joining a network consisting of over 300 banks.
