Yerevan /Mediamax/. First tranche of the World Bank (WB) loan for development of small and medium enterprise will arrive in Armenia this week. Mediamax reports that the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia Vache Gabrielyan said this today, speaking at a roundtable “Current situation of SME funding, Armenia’s programs and opportunity”. According to him, in the course of the year, all loan means within the framework of the given program ($50mln) will be placed. He stressed the importance of small and medium entrepreneurship crediting, noting that this topic is always in the center of CB attention. Thus, according to Vache Gabrielyan, within the framework of German-Armenian Fund, the CB has already drawn 12bln AMD. He noted that there are problems, such as availability of means, interest rates, lack of necessary consultation in the issue of SME financing. He noted that in the course of the recent years, SME financing has significantly improved and the government tries to pay as much attention as possible to the given sector of economy.
