Yerevan /Mediamax/. Central Bank (CB) of Armenia made a decision today to decrease the refinancing rate for 0.25% and establish it at the level of 6%.

As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Armenian CB, in May, 2009, the inflation, as compared to April, made 1.6%, and inflation as to 12 months’ period made 3.4%, remaining within the range of lowest targeting level.

Armenian CB Board considered expedient the policy of further decrease of interest rates and stirring up of volume expansion, aiming at stimulating crediting and speeding up the rates of economy rehabilitation.
