Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Finance of Armenia and Head of Yerevan office of World Bank (WB) Aristomene Varoudakis signed a loan agreement on the second part of “Education Quality and Conformity” program. Mediamax reports that at the signing of the document Tigran Davtyan stated that the total sum of the loan will make $25mln. According to him, the given loan program has two components: improvement of the quality of secondary education and reforms in the sphere of higher education aiming at bringing it to conformity with European standards. Head of WB Yerevan office stated that within the framework of the program, 8750 pupils of secondary schools in Armenia will be given chance to improve the quality of their education and without additional training will enter higher educational institutions. Besides, 2750 teachers and 150 headmasters of schools will pass training courses and will form a school network, and 400 schools in individual places will be secured with internet and the necessary equipment. Aristomene Varoudakis stated that in conditions of the financial crisis, this credit program will allow Armenia boldly realizing reforms in the sphere of education. Tweet Views 11330
