Yerevan /Mediamax/. Growth of Armenian economy is expected in the fourth quarter of 2009. Mediamax reports that such an opinion was voiced at a news conference in Yerevan today by the Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of Armenia Gagik Minasyan. According to him, he makes such a conclusion basing on the fact that the influence of the crisis on Armenian economy remained behind the world tendencies for one quarter, and this means that we will overcome the crisis also later than it will happen in the entire world, where the positive shift is expected already in the third quarter of 2009. Head of Parliamentary Committee highly assessed the steps of the Armenian government on overcoming the consequences of the crisis, highlighting the provision of tax benefits to the jewelry business, stimulation of construction and provision of guarantees to the agricultural economy. He noted that agriculture is a risky sphere for funding; this is why it needs special attention from the part of the government. Gagik Minasyan stressed that agreement on provision of a stabilization loan by Russia at the sum of 500mln will be ratified by the Armenian parliament in the nearest future. He stressed that the means will be used mainly for budgetary expenditures, as well as for assisting small and medium entrepreneurship. Tweet Views 12349
